Social networks are fun, great way to interact with friends and pass time during the work day for some. It’s also takes a bite out of our productivity at the time we use them the most it seems, at school and work. The mail culprits are Twitter, Facebook and BBM for BlackBerry users. With the popularity of smartphones rising fast, access to these networks are a tap of an app away. I find myself like one of those actors portrayed in those funny Windows Phone commercials. I would randomly pull out my iPhone open up twitter and facebook to look at the timelines. During those times I would post random thoughts on my mind or something funny or interesting I saw or what song I was listening to, all the time. That can annoy most followers (who tweet a bunch themselves), but it wasn’t to the point that other tweeters, would tweet every action of their day. What further fueled this addictive behavior, was when I received my invite to an app for the BlackBerry called SocialScope. It’s by far the best and only app I use on my BB besides BBM. Social Scope incorporates your facebook and twitter timelines in one stream, and also allows one to post updates to both sites in one shot. It’s a very exclusive app that very few BB owners have since it’s in private beta (yes social scope owners do brag about it lol).
